HBO has showed us our first look at their upcoming adaptation of His Dark Materials, based on the book series of the same name by Philip Pullman. This book series was very near and dear to my heart and the previous effort at bringing this series to life, The Golden Compass, left much to be desired. This new series looks like it will more accurately represent the books, and with stars like Dafne Keen and James McAvoy it’s sure to be a success.
