While it may not come as news to anyone, Hasbro is purchasing the rights for Power Rangers from Saban. The 522 million dollar deal is set to finalize any day, but the deal itself isn't what is most intriguing. Saban brand's chief and Power Ranger creator will serve as a consultant, moving forward with the franchise. Hasbro has stated that the first set of products will be available in Spring 2019. Hasbro chairman and CEO, Brian Goldner said, "Power Rangers is an iconic brand built on a heritage of great storytelling and merchandising with tremendous upside potential when fully executed across Hasbro's brand blueprint," upon announcing the deal. He also stated. "...it became clear that now was the time to begin investing in unlocking Power Rangers' full potential."

As long as Michael Bay stays away from this franchise, there is the potential to have a world Where I don't complain and the rangers thrive on TV and the Silver screen. Only time will tell. Let us know your thoughts in the comments, and as always, stay geeky!
