After the success of She-Ra Princess of Power, it was only a matter of time before a reboot of He-Man was in the works. The new cartoon, which will have Kevin Smith as its showrunner and executive producer, titled Masters of the Universe: Revelation will apparently feature some new faces as well as some well known characters from the original series.
The reboot has found its Skeletor as none other than the man himself Mark Hamill is set to voice the series main villain. Hamill is no stranger to playing menacing baddies as he has voiced the Joker for the original Batman animated series as well as Fire Lord Ozai on the much loved Avatar The Last Airbender. Rounding out the rest of the main cast is Chris Wood as He-Man / Prince Adam, Lena Heady as Evil-Lyn, Liam Cunningham as Man-At-Arms, Sarah Michelle Gellar as Teela and Kevin Conroy as Mer-Man.
Netflix has had great success recently with animated shows such as the final season of Bojack Horseman, Disenchantment, Big Mouth and the much anticipated return of Castlevania. After how well She-Ra has done, it seems obvious that He-Man will have the same success. With names like Kevin Smith and Mark Hamill on board how could it not.
