Superman: The Red Underwear Are Back

By Jason O’Toole

For almost seven years now Superman has taken to wearing his underwear under his costume. This year we will finally see Supes back in the classic costume. On April 18th DC will be releasing Action Comics #1000. The cover, by Jim Lee, shows us that the red trunks are back.

This also marks the DC Comics debut of writer Brian Michael Bendis, whose long stint as a Marvel writer has finally come to an end. He will be joined on this issue by a whole handful of writers and artists including Richard Donner, Geoff Johns, Paul Dini and Scott Snyder just to name a few.

Rejoice classic Superman fans because he is back in the red trunks again.
